The plot is virtually non-existant as i have already stated and the characters are so lacking in development they may as well have hired a mime to do the roles. The movie is so predictable except for the final part where it makes no sense whatsoever, some guy who was a captain of the last ship sent to save the sun pops out and tries to kill everyone so the earth will die because he has been apparently talking to God in his seven years of solitude after murdering his crew members. I don't know who he was talking to but i am sure that seven years on your own could easily turn a well-esteemed captain with the fate of the planet on his shoulders into a psychopathic killer with the intent of destroying mankind.
Whats more is that everybody dies in the end when if it weren't for that conveniently placed psychopathic killer or his ship they would have made it there and back without a hitch and Earth would have won, mind you Earth still won after the idiotic physicist main character flew the rocket into the fucking sun to revive it, i mean how the hell does a bomb revive a sun anyway?
So to sum it all up, the characters are crappy and totally undeveloped, the plot could have a truck driven through its holes and the movie makes no sense whatsoever. But the movie isn't all bad, the best part of it is in fact the credits, they look rather nice especially when you are walking out after being slapped in the face by a truckload of fail and are about to demand you get your money back.
